Sell yourself

What? Well, running your own painting business is not just about being able to paint (although that helps), But if you can’t sell yourself, you will not be doing a lot of painting.

Remember, you only get one chance for an excellent first impression.

Think about this, if a tradesperson was going to turn up at your mother’s house to do a quote, how would you like them to look and treat your mother?

By this, I mean to be respectful, don’t turn with a smoke hanging out of your mouth, don’t smoke even if the homeowner is smoking, don’t swear, and please take your boots off before entering the house. You will be surprised just how good these little things will make you look.

The more professional you look, the more of a premium you can charge for your services.

Most people are willing to pay a bit extra if they can see it worth it.

Are you worth it? If so great, if not, why?
